Ok so I did a Splinter Cell exploit softmod on this kid's xbox so obviously the dvd drive was reading at that point. I gave him back the xbox and he brings it back the next day saying it wont play games. It gives the "can't recognize disc" error, so I turned up the pot on the laser. Worked to the point where it actually recognized what the game was but that's it, so I bought him a new lens and installed it but that doesn't work either. I even put in a known working drive. I'm at a loss here any ideas? Edit: It will check the disc in UX and sometimes say empty and other times unknown, but never game.
