i am getting network adapter card is missing message when trying to connect to the internet to activate norton antivirus. i recently removed some malware haven't been able to connect to the internet since. i believe that i may still have more malware because when attempting to connect with internet explorer(i am usually connected through msn) i am being redirected to bogus antispyware sites. don't know what to do now please help!
Can you still conenct to the net at all? Install and run the following programs: http://www.eset.com/download/free_trial_download_int.php http://lavasoft.com/products/ad_aware_free.php Oh, but before you do, ditch Norton.
"network adapter card is missing" suggests the driver for your network adapter may have been uninstalled, whether accidentally, or forcefully by malware. Look up the driver section for your motherboard or network card (if it's separate) and reinstall the driver.
