Were you suggesting both or just one? I see this PINNACLE Studio Plus Version 9 $69.95 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16832126020 This PINNACLE Liquid Edition 6 Pro 999.00 http://buy.pinnaclesys.com/dr/v2/ec...106&CID=0&DSP=&CUR=840&PGRP=0&CACHE_ID=175994 and this Vegas 6 $479.96 http://www.sonymediasoftware.com/shopping/item.asp?PID=314&disp=1 I will assume we are talking about the more expensive ones. If I go with Vegas will that grow with me a bit as I learn? Also will I need other software to burn DVD's or is that included? I saw a bundled Vegas Pack but I don't want to hit that $1000 mark on software...
See if you can still get the bundled Vegas 5 pack, with the DVD creator/burner and AC3 audio plugin. Last price I saw, was $799 for the package (retail from an online shop, not direct from Sony!). It will do things you've never dreamed of, everything you want to do now, probably everything you could imagine doing, and will last you for years of video editing. There are some excellent tutorials, and other plugins for it, all over the web.
In my search for that package I have run across a couple different sites that basicly say that Vegas is GREAT, but if your gonna spend that kind of money get the industry standard Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5... any thoughts on this???
My personal opinion: Sony makes great products, both hardware and software. Pinnacle crashes lots. Adobe is worse. Who told you that Adobe Premiere was the "industry standard"? ROFL!
"Who told you that Adobe Premiere was the "industry standard"? ROFL!" http://desktopvideo.about.com/od/softwarereviews/l/bl_hisw.htm check the comments on Vegas.
I believe I found what you were talking about!!! http://www.digitraxx.com/s_vegasdvd.html It looks excellent... I can't wait to give it a try!! I will be ordering my new PC parts and this early in June!! Thank you very much for your help. If you get time I would appreciate it if you take a look at the hardware I will be ordering also... http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/193609 Thanks Again!!!
CoachJ: my brother inlaw is professional photographer and he does not recommend the Liquid Pro 6 because it crash alot during your editing time. He also said Premiere Pro 1.5 is OK only.
