I got a DS recently and I need a NDS Flash Kit (or a combination of kits) that will play NDS and GBA Roms. I know that the M3 DS Real has a Perfect Bundle Bundle that can do just that and this is the cheapest deal for that kit that I've seen from a Canadian retailer. http://www.kickgaming.com/real-perfect-bundle-p-277.html $55.37 + $7.32 shipping = $62.69 + 5% GST & 8% PST * 1 x M3 DS Real (Black) * 1 x M3 DS Real Rumble Pack (Black) * 1 x M3 DS Real GBA Expansion Pack (Black) * 1 x USB TF/microSD Reader * 1 x M3 DS Real Card Case DealExtreme sells a similar M3 DS Real bundle for a cheaper price for $44.90 and free shipping but they ship from Hong Kong and I'm not sure if Customs in Canada will charge me duties for importing it (and how much they'd charge) and if they might confiscate it or place an arrest because of the new copyright law in Canada. Shipping from DealExtreme also takes a long time. I would preferably like to buy from a Canadian retailer to avoid any potential Customs headaches. Is the M3 DS Real Perfect Bundle the best option for what I want or is there a better DS Flash kit that can play GBA Roms? I've looked at Acecard 2, Edge and Supercard DS One and apparently they offer the best quality for NDS emulation (they all have gold stars at gbatemp). You can play GBA Roms on those cards with a EZ Flash 3-in-1 right? The only catch is that the whole thing would end up being more expensive but maybe it's worth it I guess? Acecard 2 with EZ Flash 3-in-1 costs $58.46 + $7.31 shipping = $65.77 + tax combined. That's only $3 more than the M3 DS Real Pack so that's not bad. Edge with EZ is $71 + tax with shipping included and Supercard DS One with EZ is $75.18 + tax. Also how good is Ez flash 3-in-1 for GBA Rom support? Better than the M3 DS Real GBA Expansion Pack? Thanks.
I have the M3 bundle and it plays all the GBA Rom's, the games take a few seconds to load and away you go. I purchased mine from dealextreme and it took about 2 weeks to arrive (UK). Well worth the wait!
The M3 Perfect Bundle looks good but with all the problems I've seen people have with R4 and M3 here, I was thinking of getting an Acekard 2. If the reviews on gbatemp are to be trusted, it seems like the best compromise between quality and price. Can Acekard 2 play GBA Roms very well in conjunction with EZ-Flash 3 in 1? Or is there another method I could use to play GBA Roms with Acekard 2? I noticed in the GBAtemp review it says, "Boot to slot-2 (PassMe mode): Works fine. This will allow you to boot any slot-2 flashcart in DS mode. Not compatible with commercial GBA carts." Does this mean that Acekard 2 won't be able to play commercial GBA ROMS with EZ-Flash 3-in-1 in slot 2? Thanks.
With the quote "all the problems with the M3 cards" The M3 simply and the R4 are from the same team, and that team seem to have vanished, hence no more software. The M3 real is excellent I have no problems and it has played all the latest stuff thrown at it. Definately worth it and the software is beng constantly tweaked to cure minor soft start issues.
