I have been scanning the treads but get differing opinions. Does anyone know if there is software that will let a stand alone dvd player that plays mp3 CD to understand that a dvd with mp3 is a valid disk and play them? Thanks for the help everyone in advance!

    Sorry bc322032,

It isn't possible to do a flash firmware upgrade on a standalone player.

Your only option is to give it what it wants or to go buy another one that will do what you wish.

If you decide to go on a buying soree, take one of your DVD discs with you until you find something to play it - at least then you'll know at the store and not have to wait until you get home to discover it doesn't work -

    Cheers,

    Pete

Thanks. Maybe. But there must be some software that can work. I know that some friends put MP3 music etc. into their DVD movies and that works fine. Isn't there some software that you could just dump all the tracks into a moivie type format that will work? Thanks!
