Hey i was wondering if theres a program out there that i can use to record keystrokes on my own computer...my kids are at the age in which they prolly could be looking at pornographic images and i would like to know if they actually are. So if anyone can post some kind of software for this thatd be very nice. thankyou

what you're looking for is called a keylogger. there's various levels of these, from basic software to little hardware devices you actually connect between the keyboard and the pc that store data on a flash drive. google "keylogger" and good prospects should turn up for you.

[bold]Warning[/bold]: I'm not sure if we can link to such sites so I'll just advise you to watch which one you get. All but [bold]two[/bold] on the first page of a Google search come with spyware, adware, and some even come with a keylogger of its own. I'll just say the .net URL and is a good choice, no extra malware with it.

I have a question for you all : How many times must an AD member be bashed and/or flamed before he or she knows the AD forum rules ?
The answer is simple : I can't give the exact numbers, but juding by this thread, most people here need to be bashed some more.

You're discussing illegal software *yes, keyloggers ARE considered illegal software in a LOT of countries UNLESS they are used by authorities*, there's one dummy even talking about cracks, by god, have you all lost your marbles or WHAT?

@ The original poster : you don't need a keylogger.
If you simply tell your kids not to surf such sites, they'll be fine.
And even if they do view such sites, who cares ?
Exploring one's sexuality is part of growing up, so if they feel the need, let them do it.
The more you monitor them and forbid it, the more alluring it becomes.

@The_Fiend, I must disagree! It's a proven fact, young children that see alot of sexual material are more likely to become child molesters or rapest in their latter years. Same goes with high amounts of violence, they become serial killers or semi-terrorists.

You need to be bashed for bashing too much! Lay back and smoke for for f**k sake!

Show me statistics, FACTS, proof to back up that statement.
Also, judging by the way this guy talks about his kids, we're not talking about kids under the age of 10, so there goes the "young children" assumption right out the window.

Right...Now that's a good idea...Let's all smoke up, and set the right example...
I'll stick with the pr0n and lay off the dope, thank you very much.
I rather value my braincells the way they are.

Also, since you're apparently concerned about global warming, shouldn't you be opposed to people blowing even more toxins and cr@p into the air?

Here's you an entire article on this subject. May be from anti-pornography advocates, but read the entire page.

And here's a little study conducted...with ages 12-14. Quote from here.

Oh, and about global warming, I'm not concerned. I hope we all are directly affected by the high rise in temperatures. We bring it on ourselves and deserve to pay for it!

That's hardly your business, now is it? Further to that everybody's parenting methods are different, and I agree with Fiend, allthough not being a parent myself, I think he has a valid point.

    Pfft, I'm out...

Wow than why do you agree with Fiend if you have no right to disagree with the other replies since you don't have children.

Like OMG look what I have found that is proven.

    @nray25,

How old are your kids? You've probably heard of NetNanny? I've never used it but it does win awards:

If your kids are in their teens, mostly likely more computer saavy than you. Have the computer in the open. You may want to write up a contract on appropriate computer use with the repercussions if they stray. There really has to be some trust between you and your kids. I'd personally be more concerned with predators.
