If I record a dvd on my dvd recorder off the television, then try to play it on my laptop using media player or realplayer ,the picture is made up of lots of small squares.I can hear the sound ok. Normal dvd's play back fine.Could it be the quality of the discs ( Maxell) but i have used 2 makes and they are both the same.Or could it be the dvd recorder.Thanks in advance.
Your laptop might not have a powerful enough graphics card to watch the movies, can you watch a store bought DVD with no problems?
