Recording TV Sony VCR DVD Recorder

    I have never able to record for t.v. programs when using this Sony VCR DVD Recorder.

    I can play movies from the DVD
    I have in the past copied from VHS to DVD

    I have the cables hooked up
    IN for the t.v. going to OUT for the recorder
    OUT for the cable box going to the IN for the recorder

    help!

    Did you scan for channels in the setup of the dvd recorder.Go in setup and find auto scan for the available channels..
