recording tv

    anyone know a good program to record tv, if i have a tv tuner card in my comp. like if a good movie is on what program do i use to record it and what else do i have to do to burn it to dvd-r?

    I use Intervideo Win Dvd recorder it came bundled with my burner,and it works realy well with Xp.
    I then use TMPGEnc Dvd author to place chapters and convert the file into Vob files,and finaly Nero to burn it.
    It all sounds a bit long winded but if you have a good tv reception the results are exelent.

    i dont get this soemthing has to be wrong...whenever i have video files on my comp the audio is always not even with the video...like i just recorded a movie and the audio is way off

    Do you mean the audio is out of sync, or you have no audio ?

    Sorry can't help you there I've never had that problem Win Dvd has always worked perfectly.
    Sorry I've taken so long to reply,got alot on.
