    Hey All,

I just started using Nero Wave Editor, and I am simply trying to record sounds off of the internet (i.e. from my computer but not saved sounds - so no physical input such as mics). For some reason, my volume during recording is always ~-40dB, so that while I'm hearing the original sound fine, the playback from Nero is super quiet. I've fiddled with the system's volume and could find no solution. Am I missing something simple?

    p.s. - not pirating!

I have exactly the same problem. Tried everything also. Is there anybody who knows why this is happening?

In the Volume Control window you get by clicking the ""speaker"" icon in your tray -- Click OPTIONS --properties and tick Recording to view what is available on your Sound Card for Recording. -- This is different depending on the sound card you are using but
generally you will see a Microphone -- Aux -- Line In -- Wave out -- What U Hear -- Phone Out -- Mono Out -- Cd Player ... to name a few possibilities.

-- if you are recording from the internet -- that means you need to select the Wave OUT -- or The What U Hear input for your recording . So Tick either one and raise the input level there .

I am so dumb. While I raised the volume level, I didn't check the box to select it. Thanks so much, guys!
