I've just accidently deleted a full season of a tv show called Prison Break,the file was 7.50 gb and now it isn't in the Recycle Bin. Can anyone please help me get this back and for some reason my System Restore doesn't work!
Google a file recovery program, it'll do the job great, all you need is a trial, I can't reccomend any sorry.
So you can see it with the program, but need the full license to actually recover the files?? If you've deleted it a recovery prog should do the trick great, if the one you are using is tight and only let you recover it when you have the full key then use another that does. It'll work, all you need is the right prog.
Ok I've got it back and thanks for that BUT it doesn't play on Windows Media Player so I always play it on VLC Media Pleyer but for some reason it doesn't play on any,when it's on VLC it just plays but there's nothing on the screen and it on the timer it doesn't move one second,it stays on 0:00:00 and on Windows Media Player it says 'Windows Media Plyer cannot play the file.The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file.' I need help and I don't want to download 7.50gb again.
Ok, you got it back good, now it won't play even on VLC?? Just so we know everything's ok with VLC right(it plays other files, just not this one), if it doesnt play any files I'd try uninstalling, re downloading and re installing. What type of files are the ones your trying to watch?? (.avi, .wma etc) If you can't see what they are then try running this tool on them, open the files with Gspot, this is a great tool, it'll give us alot of info on the file and will tell us what codec we need to be able to play the file. http://www.headbands.com/gspot/download.html Download and run Gspot.exe, post back with some of the info, a screen shot would be ok. BTW, I watch prison break too
Hey rav,thanks for the info.But for some reason now the files went missing again and I got them back again and this time they are rar.I restarted my computer so I know I've still got them and now the files stay and don't go. When I try and extract the rar. files it says 'No Archive Found'.Can you tell me what that means and how I can sort it out? Cheers!
Hey MNA, before you extract them try uisng winrars "Test" feature on it, heres a screen shot. Test them to make sure the files are not damaged, if the test comes back clean try extracting them to a different directory like C:/ Prison Break.
