Recycle big gone :(

I was playing around with an external monitor on my notebook and i seem to have lost my recycle bin lol. I'm not sure if i maybe 'left' it on the monitor or what.. Does anyone know how to show it on the desktop again? I'm running windows vista OS

Just a guess here...but did you set your laptop back to using just a single monitor?

 

I'm about 95% sure I did. But the other monitor is put away and getting it is not an option. Is there anywhere I can go to 'show it on the desktop'?

 

A few things will refresh the desktop.

Right click, Refresh. Rebooting. Logging off, back on again.

 

none of those worked...

 

Have you tried doing a system restore?

 

I figured it out.. there was a place in control panel which gave me the option to show it on the desktop again. thanks for the help!
