I have never done any modding whatsoever or even opened up the xbox. Or have droped it or anything. It started of slow where it did it once and haven seen it for a while then it started doing it more and more, now it does it almost every time, every once in a while it will boot, or it will boot the xbox start green thing and will cut off and show black screen with no sound, what it does is turn on and off 3 times and then does the green/red blinking. I have not messed with my xbox whatsoever, the only thing i can think of is i ordered the new xbox power cord from microsoft beacause the old one "caused fires" it started messing up a while after that

how would the board make it do that, if it did it every time i would understand but it does it maybe 70% of the time, 30% of the time its fine. Ive already opened up xbox to see if anything was loose, my warrenty was to old anyway

i dunno but the only thing that might be able to fix that would be a modchip...

No, ridges im pretty sure a modchip wouldnt fix this, Ive dealt with two different boxes with this problem, and it has always meant the motherboard is on the way out. what you can do is call microsoft, and aks them to fix it, or you can buy a used one. Or you could buy a new mobo and a chip and hack it.
