reformat fatx to a fat32 or ntfs

    i unlocked the xbox hd and i still have it in my pc aqnd it isnt loading up as a hard drive. how do i erase the whole hd to make it useable on the pc?

    Load into Windows XP with the drive plugged in. Go to:
    Start -> Right Click My Computer -> Manage -> Disk Management on the left -> You should see your disk as Unallocated or Unknown. Post a screenshot if you want and I'll tell you which is the right drive. Once you locate the right drive Right click -> Delete partition and then right click -> New partition.

    see the hd is 20gb but its saying its only 9gb wtf is up with this

    Windows is never wrong unless your install is screwed up. Try poping in an XP Disc and see what it does. If it shows as 9GB then it is 9GB. Where are you getting the 20GB from? Original Xbox HD's were 8-10GB
