Region Coding

    I want to import a Japanese VHS tape, it will work in an American VCR, correct?

    There is no region coding on tapes.
    Japan and North America both use the NTSC video standard.
    I know you can buy Japanese NTSC tapes on line.
    I can't believe that they are selling tapes that won't play on a North American tape player.
