Hi guys, As someone new to the world of DVD on my PC, what an amazing site this is! anyway... I've just bought an LG GSA-H42N and its default region is 1. I live in region 4, but I don't want to be restricted to just region 4. I downloaded a trial of RegionFree and it works like a gem. But is there a region free firmware 'available' for this burner? I looked on forum.rpc1.com and flashed the one from there, but I found that it doesn't make the drive region free. Thanks in advance! gb
Ok, you can stop looking now... I found a neat little freeware program called DVD43 which works a treat as far as software de-region-coding. Not firmware, but almost as good... and a completely FREE alternative to RegionFree
