    Guys,
is there a safe registry tool available that will get rid of the junk excess files that seem to accumulate with out me having to do a clean install.

    any help appreciated.

    hey nephilim, thanks .

Oh by the way how do you find specific registry files that well ones like ( when you d/load shareware files the ones that have time limits on them i have tried to delete them them but i still must have partial files on my pc somewhere cos you cant re activate them.A good example was a small game called magic ball just like arkanoid but in 3D)

One other question for you totally off topic have you seen a review of a manga called reign of the conquorer(sold as a box set 400 mins of straight manga)

    thanks again

You can use regedit - start>run>regedit - but you must be very careful when doing so. When regedit is open you can go to edit>find and then type in a all or part of the filenames you're looking for. I had some stuff lingering like you described so I went hog wild in regedit finding all kinds of crap for proggies no longer installed and ended up hosing my whole system. Be forewarned :)

Haven't seen Reign of the Conquerer, I take it it's worth checking out?

I bought my niece Witch Hunter Robin and she loved it. I'll end up getting her a few more I imagine - I can't help but foster a 14 year old's love of anime :) Let me know if Reign is a good one to check out.

Heh heh. Thanks for the vote of confidence :D I don't know about the promotion though. I don't have quite the broad knowledge some of these other fellows have. I'm happy learning and helping :)

dont underestimate yourself you seem to have a good understanding of a lot of this kind of subject matter.

i tried your reg cleaner program but it didnt get rid of all the files but most off.I also tried to remove clone dvd2 sneakpeek as after the 30 day trial period it doesnt work, however i deleted it ,and i tried you know to re install etc to see if you can re use it but to no avail.I then went looking for apps and geez is nothing sacret here was a patch for this sneek peek program.I tried it but heres the funny thing it works but i seem to get the screener for 321 at the start of the disc, and 321 dvdx copy etc isnt on my system anymore. Can you suggest something

You get a 321 screener when you open the patched sneak peek? Maybe the patch-writer has a twisted sense of humor.

I will be straight foward about your question. There are a lot of so-called "good" reg cleaners out there. One bad mass cleaning job can render you encapable of even rebooting to fix it. I have used Registry First Aid for 3 years through 3 versions. I run it on full auto mode every time I delete a program or haven't ran a clean up in a week. I have ran it on Win 98, ME, Win 2000 and now on XP Pro. It has never once cost me a minutes worry. Allow the program to set restore point each time you use it & make BK UP of registry also. It will do this automaticaly. I can't say enough about it & have tryed about ten different Reg editors.

    no problem tis a pleasure

btw i tryed it myself (actually, i just purchased it)

and it is actually really good before i was using system mechanic and registry mechanic and they found a few but registry first aid (v3.3.0) found over 500 problems

and my computers a lot faster now (just need a quick defrag)

and no i dont work for the company, before someone says it ;D
