hi, is it possible to take a song and remove all the lyrics or vocals and just get a instrumentals from the song (karoake). thank you
do a search under "audio" section for this...this question has been asked and answered dozens of times. In short, not without good results. You can get a free audio editor such as audacity, and adjust the equalizer (cutting out the midrange frequencies) but it alters the overall sound of the song. There are a few programs out there that can supposedly remove vocals, but I'm not sure how well they work. My guess is that the end product does not sound that great. Try doing a google search for it. One program I know of is called YoGen Vocal Remover.
Few instruments can be seperated but not those in the vocal frequency range. Try Band Stop Filter in any audio editor (i.e.: FlexiMusic Wave Editor)
