Removing Directors Narrative??

I have a film that when downloaded in XivD plays fine but when converted to DivX, which is necessary to be playable for my Sony DVD Player, it plays the audio of a directors narrative over the regular sound track.

When I play the film on my computer in XivD it shows a sign on the opening screen that says......." This film contains multiple audio sound tracks"

I can't see how to play the sound track that only contains the regular dialogue.

Open the original file in AVIDemux.
If it says there are multiple audio tracks, select one and use the play button to verify.
Save the file (give it a full name eg myfile.avi) and save.
