Hi everyone, I have purchased a HDMI to SDI converter in order to play my BD's on a DLP projector which doesnt have a HDMI input, but through a patch bay, I can use SDI/HD plugs to get my 1080p. Im not in a position to update the projector before anyone adds that! It then turns out rather late on (like in the small print of the overview on the box, but not on the website!) that it cannot decode HDCP. Is there anything available for me to use on the BD player to remove this? I had a conversation a few months back with someone from Microsoft about this, and was wondering if there had been any progress since.....I can get my money back, but I dont want to, I want the kit ive got for many reasons.....any thoughts out there?? anyone push me in a different direction....?? thanks
There is nothing you can do to the machine that will remove the HDCP requirement AFAIK. There is something you can do to the movie though. http://www.slysoft.com/en/anydvdhd.html http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/639346
