Removing linux from from hdd

    I have installed ubuntu 8.10 on my hdd and can't get it to work. Is there a way to remove the program and the partition ? This is on my computer currently running windows xp pro

    Question has been asked plenty of times, search the forums. If you're unwilling to work out commonly asked stuff for yourself, Linux probably isn't for you I guess. Back up everything on Windows first, and probably even reinstall from scratch. Windows only takes 6 months to bog down the registry usually

    I havn't given up. Just wanting to get rid of the ubuntu 8.1 that was told was a beta version and go with something more user friendly

    just install over it then.. when you use a proper linux distro you will find out about partitioning.
