Rename Folders Base On Tags

    I have a huge media collection I'm trying to organize and I'm not interested in iTunes at this point.

    All (or at least most) MP3s are tagged. I'd like the folder structure to resemble this:

    Artist - Year - Album (IE: AC/DC - 1980 - Back in Black).

    Is there an app that will rename each folder in this format by looking at the tag info of the MP3?

    I would first move up to Media Monkey as an audio manager. It uses a SQL engine to power it. I am sure there is no utility that would do what you want. That said there may be a script for Media Monkey that will do that. Go to their forums then go to development or maybe scripts. Media Monkey can run VB scripts that can use its database.
