I bought and ripped the first season of a television show. It was recorded on a dual layer disk where you physically had to turn the disk over to distinguish between sides A and B. When I ripped it, the DVD files from sides A and B had the same names, so when I went to burn the disk to a blank dual layer of my own, I couldn't. I tried playing around with the file names to no avail. How can I rename the files so that I can fit all the content I got from one DVD onto one blank dual layer? Is there some other solution? Thanks so much for your help!
I ripped with DVD Shrink. I have the full version of both Nero and Roxio available for burning, plus the built in burners in Ubuntu and Fedora Core.
In Shrink I add a 1 after the name when it tells me i've already got an ISO of the same name. You might be able to reauthor to get both on the same disc. But you could try in Shrink you have the option to change the label name, when you click on backup go to burn settings and change the label name. I hope i'm not sending you in the wrong direction.
I have the disks on hand should something go wrong, no reasonnot to give it a try. Thanks for your help!
@09dgc it sounds to me like your trying to combine the 2 dvd5 to 1 dvd9? then just adding both images to a dvd9 wont give you the results you want, here are some guides on doing this (actually i think there 2dvd5 to 1dvd5 but all you have to do is ignore any talk on compression): http://www.videohelp.com/guides.php...=%&listallusers=&search=Search+or+List+Guides gl -nomad311
