    Hello,

New to the forum and not sure if this was discussed before but I would really like some help on how to replace the case on my original ds. The damn hinge broke and found a good case for it to replace it with but I tried going online to see if there are any tutorials but didn't find anything. Does anyone here know of any good ones or can help me?

    Thanks.

I have just replaced the cas on my Phat DS without a tutorial, if you do it slowly swapping piece by piece to the new case it is fairly straight forward. Hardest bit is making sure the top screen ribbon cable sits correctly and getting the hinges out of one (not too bad you can smash the old case), but into the new is a bit harder. The two small connectors (one for the touch screen) attach by a brown bit of plastic sliding out by 1-2mm BE Careful!! Essential tools Tri wing screwdriver, a good 0 point cross head screwdriver and a pair of pliers to puch the hinges back in to the new case. If the unit fails to turn on after the change the usual suspects are the 2 large screen connectors, if they are not seated in correctly the unit flashes the green light and screens and turns off.
