   I would like to replace my defective XBOX HD with an unlocked HD from another XBOX. Is it as simple as dropping it in and hooking it up? Or, as with other HDs, do I need a modchip as well?

   You will need a mod chip because once you swap harddrives you will need to lock the new harddrive to the motherboard.
