Replacement for AVG 7.1 free edition

    AVG is switching from free and pro versions to just pro versions of their antivirus program on the 15th of january. I dont want to spend the $30 for the subscription if i dont have to. Can anyone recommend another FREE antivirus program that is as good or better than AVG. Ive been using AVG for over 5 years with no problems and very few viruses and im sad to see them switch to a subscription service.

    Hi adamryer,

    Only AVG 7.1 will be discontinued. AVG 7.5 will still be available for free and can be downloaded from here. :)

    avast home edition is free and it kicks avg ass and it warns you of virus and malware befor its in your pc give it a try .hers the link
