I recently bought a new Canon scanner with the ability to scan slides. I've scanned some 240 slides and had them printed (they come out fine) however I would like to include them in a number of slide shows using Nero Vision 4. The problem I have run into is that the slide images are tiny and Nero expands them to fit in the slide show which makes them extremely blurry. I've tried increasing the resolution in Adobe Photoshop Elements and also increasing their dimensions but cannot avoid the bluriness. This seems strange to me as the photos the printing machine at K-Mart produced are postcard sized and perfect.

Is there a way to increase the resolution/dimensions of my scanned images for inclusion in a slide show or will I have to scan the 240 hardcopy images?

There's a tread about this here.

I had a look at that thread which contains links to resizing software. I downloaded and tried one of these but it doesn't solve the problem. Please note that I have no trouble resizing images using Elements, however the resized image is blurry.

I should explain that a scanned slide has the dimensions 3.35cm X 2.26cm (95 pixels X 64 pixels) at resolution 72. I need to blow it up to 19.9cm X 12.42cm (roughly). ALSO: Slideshows burned to DVD to be shown on a standard TV should be around 72dpi to avoid strobing.

Summary: I need to blow my tiny slide images up to screen size while keeping the sharpness. Is this impossible? I am assuming it is and have started scanning the postcard-sized prints I had made from the scanned slides.
