    I have a fujifilm s8100 camera. Is there a way to resize all my images at once or is there a default setting I can change to automatically resize pictures when I download them from my camera?

    I use 'Irfanview', it (and probably others) has a batch conversion feature you can use use to do this.
    Drag the folder containing the photos onto the 'Irfanview' shortcut on the desktop.

    Irfanview window opens.

    Click 'File' => 'Batch conversion/Rename'
    Click the 'Add all' button.
    Assume that the 'Output Format' box is set for jpeg and the 'Use advanced options' box is checked.

    Click on the 'Advanced' button and check the button for 'Set new size as percentage of original' and the box for 'Preserve Aspect Ratio'
    Insert the percentage required (try 50), click 'OK' and return to the main menu.

    Select the output folder and 'Start Batch'
