I just upgraded to FireFox 3 a few days ago, I went through and put all the add-on's I wanted in. They started at first, then I restarted my computer and they were gone. Now if I restart my computer FireFox acts as if I had never installed any add-ons or saved any book marks. It does it sometimes when I close out FireFox and restart it; after clearing everything. I've lost a lot of book marks so far. I uninstalled FireFox 3, removed everything for FireFox and re-installed it and I'm still getting the same problem. Any idea? Any help will be appreciated.

    Thanks.

is this a personal computer, or a computer at work? sometimes admins setup GPs that prevent certain things from installing. otherwise, cant think of anything else. have you used FF2?

Personal PC. Have used FF2, no probs ever. Only w/ FF3. Win XP SP2. Haven't hooked it up since I've gotten the 'net reconnected @ the house; reason why i don't have SP3 on it.

This may be an error in your system or with firefox itself.Try downloading and installing a portable version of firefox and see if that works as I had an error similair to yours and was forced to use a portable version. You can download a portable version from here:
    http://portableapps.com/apps/internet/firefox_portable
If that doesn't work, then try re-installing firefox onto a different hard drive if you have one.
    Hope this helps!
