Hey there, probably about 6 months ago i softmodded my xbox and subsequently installed a larger harddrive on it, but i have got the craving for going on live again and am setting out to restore my old hard drive. I put the original HDD into the xbox and tried to uninstall the softmod, but something screwed up (something about a batch error) and i can't really do much other then play games (which works fine so all is not lost!). Problem is this doesn't do much for live though, so how do i go about restoring my hard drive? I still have the original DVD that has all the info on it from when i installed the bigger harddrive, but would that be sufficient (ie reformat the hdd)? Is there something i can download to make all my problems go away? Any help would be greatly appreciated
so i should just copy the harddrive that is backed up on the disc onto the harddrive? When i originally did this with my larger harddrive, my C:/ kept going blank, do you think this would be a problem again with the smaller harddrive and is there any place where i can download an updated default dashboard as the one in the restoring tutorial seems to be broken. Thanks alot btw.
Do it just like you would if you were upgrading the HD, put the C(Ms Dash) you have into the C Drive in XboxHDM...and leave E Blank...
