restriction code for nokia 6230

i think the fone was on t-mobile but i put my orange sim card in and it says i need to enter a code to undo phone restriction

does anybody no this code?

Nobody can work out the code without knowing the phones imei number press *#06# on the handset to get, its 15 numbers long

Use code 1 and if trhat doesnt work use code 7 you have 5 attempts to input the code after that it can only be unlocked by cable. If you arent sure what your doing give a shout back

do i need to take my orange sim card out to do this?

i am right in thinking i enter the code wen the "enter sim" message comes up?

Yes remove your sim card and enter the code whan you get that message, use they * key to input the letters, just keep pressing it fast and you will see them change if you make a mistake use the cance key to go back, the # key is obvious

now my fone doesnt pick up any network coverage, wats the deal with that? does orange sim cards not work with t mobile phones or sumfing?

Unlocking the phone shoudnt make a difference, is the orange sim card been blocked? has your phone been blocked? are you in a bad reception area for orange? try it with an o2 card and see if you get a network if you do then theres something wrong with your orange sim card

 

my orange card works in my old phone but when i put it in the new one i unlocked it get no reception (its on contract does it make a difference?)

If it was stolen there is nothing that can be done with it. Get your money back. Did yoyu try it with another sim card and see if that registers? if it doesnt the chances are it was reported lost or stolen
