So basically my problem is that I have a new laptop now (which works), but the previous laptop, which has a broken screen, has a bunch of music and stuff still on it.. But there's no way to navigate the computer.
What I wanna do is take all of the data off the old laptop and put it on the new one.

My question is, what is the easiest way of retrieving this data? Do I need a cable or any other type of hardware / device? Or can I literally pull the hard drive out of one laptop, and put it into the other? (I don't know much about laptop hardware).

Let me know what you think would be the easiest way to transfer.

When I put a VGA cable from my laptop to tv and press F10 my tv becomes my laptop screen.

...Or you can use a SVideo cable to connect to a TV if you don't have a VGA port on the TV.
