Ridiculous mods...

I got banned from 2 pc hardware message boards for the simple fact that my nickname sounds like a script kiddie or whatever the mods thought. FWIW, the mod locked a thread because he thought proxy was for hackers. LOL

If I didn't add a "z" to my nick, I wouldn't have gotten the accounts at all cuz I'm not the only one who knows the word. No, I didn't violate the TOA. I did contribute.

Some members of other boards I frequent are trying to provoke me into an argument by calling me names indirectly, weirdo, lamez, ignorant "expert", etc. I'd just leave those threads at once.

Overall, I do ok on most boards.

How would you deal with similar situations online?

If you think that people are saying bad things about you just report them.

 

Yeah I gotta go with philip on this one.

The "offensive post" button is a good thing, though I never used it, I am sure it will come in handy one day.

 

you should also use it for spammers so mods can get them faster.

Sorry to burst your bubble guys, but, that is just an idea (as the thread says) to help with the spammer problem. It was never put into "practice".

 

Yeah...I kinda figured that when they sort of shot it down.

Shame, though. Was a really good idea.

 

But if they implemented a deduction of posts for bad advice, such as recommending bad media, I think Venom would be back to Newbie in no time!
