right-click custo

I have been studying java all year in school and am now only just getting into java script and the like, I am quite successful right now at modifying the right-click menu in internet explorer to perform helpful tasks, one for instance allows any highlighted text to be searched on google via a command i placed on the right-click menu.
This is all very good, but I am very curious as to how I would get a slideout menu like the one toolbars provides when you click on the taskbar on the bottom of the screen(or top whatever) If anyone has any info in creating one of these menus or a link it would be very appreciated.
