HI I was wondering whether there was a way to rip audio/music from the internet. im NOT talking about ripping radio streams, but a track that is being played on the internet and i want to rip it or download it, is this possible? Thanks
You can do it if you can come up with the stream URL. Once you have the URL you can load this into a Download Manager. If you supply the link I might could help you further.
I use Radiotracker for ripping music from internet. It can also to rip radios, but you can add manually you favorite artist or track. You can have also ringtones with this program. It is great for me.
Hey there, I'm nout sure if this is the right thread to post but I have a question.I have a favorite internet radio station that plays great music.I'd love to be able to listen to the songs from their playlist on my mp3 player. Can I use Radiotracker to rip music from this internet radio station?Do you have any ideas?,I'm really curious if this is possible.
Hy Coolcolin, For listening to your favorite songs on your MP3 player, you have to look for the station that you want in the Manage Station in Radiotracker. If it isn't in this Radiotracker's database, you have to go on shoutcast.com to see if the station is shoutcast or simply go to Stations - Load - Add Station Manually and introduce the station's URL. I hope that my answer will help you. Good luck!!!
I'll second olyteddy's recommendation for Total Recorder... he mentioned this on another posting and it really is brilliant. For some inexplicable reason I can't access the HighCriterea website nor, the TotalRecorder site. Here's the link: http://www.coolrecordedit.com/index.html However, I did purchase the Pro version from another site. It had a couple of bugs, I contacted the site through it's Help page. And their reply was stunningly fast. Gave me a link to a download, for the new version... it's now called Cool Record Edit Pro. It costs $29. And is totally worth EVERY penny. There's possibly cheaper (even free) software around... not too sure on that. But I personally cannot recommend this one enough... buy, buy, buy... you won't regret it. Special thanks to olyteddy for plugging away with it. Pete (UK.)
I use orbit downloader. It downloads any thing you want from a web page like flv. mp3. even games from sites like miniclip.com
If the sound track does not stream to your local computer, how can you hear the sound from your speaker or headphones? It is the same thing. Use recording software to record the track while it's played.
Hy, I saw that a new program came out, Audials One, it has 3 programs in one....at a price for just one....it can rip music from radio stations, it can convert audio and video files, protected and unprotected, it can also extract the songs from videos....I find it very useful..
I think they did a pretty good job with Audials one.I tried it a few days ago and I like the fact that is quite complex, havinh a lot of features.
Get Audacity. It's free. Get a LAME encoder. It's free and it allows you to save your audio files as an Mp3 Get a double-ended standard cord. (Not sure what it's called. But the ends can fit into headphone jacks and the like) 1) Plug one end in the headphone jack and one end in the microphone jack. 2) Fire up Audacity. Make sure volume is cranked up for incoming and outgoing. 3) Find the music you want. 4) Press record and start the music (You cannot hear it) 5) Do not use the computer. 6) Stop recording when the music is done. 7) Export as any music file you desire.
