I used Rip It 4 Me on two movies Zoolander & Over the Hedge. I chose the skip to menu option. On both the disc locks up the player. I have to kill the power strip to even get the player to eject. I used Verbatim DVD+R DL discs. Perhaps the skip to menu option is really screwing things up.
That or the player doesn't like the dual layer discs. Players can be even pickier w/ dual layer. Have you tried playing them back in the pc to see if it happens there? Make sure your burners firmware is up to date and burn at 4x for the dual layer.
