I am using DVD Fab as well as ANY DVD & DVD Shrink. I have used these programs before and was able to rip a DVD within 16-20 minutes, but since I have had to format my HD and re-install all of my programs it now takes the entire time length of the movie to rip them. The strange thing is that this happens with ANY of my DVD programs. Also, both of my DVD drives (HP DVD Writer 740b & SONY DVD RW DRU-720A) are playing choppy. I know that I am not giving much info to go on, but I'm hoping that maybe there is a simple (?) solution. (yeah right). Thanks.
Update.....I looked at one of the SECONDARY IDE channels (I have 2) and found that it IS in PIO mode...how do I correct this?
Just go to "Device Manager"-> IDE channels and uninstall them and then reboot your machine. Windows will re-install and put them on DMA. http://www.onthegosoft.com/dma_setting_nt.htm
