Hi, I've searched quite a bit, and can't seem to find anything on ripping vcd's, so I can convert and burn em onto a DVD. instead all i've found is DVD to VCD. any help?
Extract the .dat by using VCDGear (best way) or just copy the avseq01.dat file over to your HD. Next, load up an encoder and encode to DVD standards. Or, demux and re-sample the audio to 48KHz. If you do it the second way, it saves way more time but the compatibility with stand-alones is not great.
is there a guide somewhere on how to use VCDgear? i'm completely hopeless, and the faq on the site, isn't really much help for me.
Don't know. You could try dvdrhelp.com. Just try loading it up and running it. It's very easy to use.
I tried using TMPGEnc, like 3 different times. each time, after burning the files onto the DVD there would just be a flickering bank screen, which I can't go to the menu from or anything. I tried using ISO buster to copy and extract the file, rename the extracted file to .mpg and then use TMPGEnc and then burn the files using NERo. I've also tried just leaving the extention to .dat from isobuster then TMPGEnc and burning with NERO, but neither of these two ways were working. I also tried using the guides on dvdrhelp.com but one of them is a guide for an outdated software, and the other i got lost half way through. I must be doing something wrong with isobuster and tmpgenc, but can't figure it out. any ideas?
