hi, has anyone had any problems with registering roxio easy media creator 7 or the roxio web site. i have recently installed a new roxio 7 when i went to register it n error page came up saying registration failed and no reason given. i went to the roxio home page and it wont accept the cd key although i have received an email saying registraion succesful. When i go to check it says my email address not found. i have tried to contact roxio but they keep saying i have to register as does their forum but their site wont allow me to register even as a member to access forum or help. Does anyone have any ideas or is it just roxio's bad service. i still have nero reloaded installed but it is an oem copy . this is a copy of the email sent from roxio but when i go to update it says the program is not registered. your lots better off with nero it updates for free unlike roxio plus nero has way many more options . i wouldnt sink another dime into roxio
thanks yes i now wish i hadnt bought roxio but because the nero reload (i think is oem) doesnt have the edit music option I was led to believe roxios was pretty good. a lesson learnt. trevor
Depending on what you want to do with the suite, Nero doesn't hold a candle to Roxio, with respect to versatility.
wombatwom I have been using Roxio Easy CD DVD Creator 6 without problems for data and music. I have not used Nero at all. I burn DVD related files with DVD Decrypter or ImgBurn (with no problems). I have heard that Roxio and Nero on one computer can cause conflicts with each other. I woould suggest you pick one or the other to avoid these conflicts. Nero seems to be very popular here. Pick whichever works for you and does what you want without problems.
you can run both programs other than having INCD in nero and drag to disc in roxio both cause problems
