I have created a very timely slideshow. I cannot open it the message I receive (Not Previewed because contains 1 or more invalid files, required playback components may be missing from system or files may be corrupt. I have done several slideshows before this with no problem. Anyone have any ideals as to how I can fix my problem.
Desperate: Hours of work, 800 pictures, slideshow of my five year old granddaughter. HELP!

Instead of going through VideoWave, you could try browsing directly to that .dmsm file on your hard drive and double click on it. If it does not open, then you can kiss that production goodbye. The only time that I have seen a problem like this is if VideoWave crashed, while you had that production open. I always save my production under two different names, in case something like this happens.

You can actually open that .dmsm file in Notepad, but I don't know if you will see anything that could be deleted to fix the problem. The .dmsm file is actually just a set of instructions that tells VideoWave what to do with your pictures, etc.

Thanks for your help. I tried your suggestions the production will not open on 5h3 hard drive qne I see no way of helping matters qirh Notepad, although I did go into that file. When I first encountered the problem, Video Wave went off and I was sent to microsoft crash center or something like that. Had no clue what was going on. I guess I crashed. That's not a first. Ha. At least now I can move on to another project. I'll save in two names from now on. Live and Learn. This thing has about drove me nuts. I attempted to get on the Roxio Site I had read several forums there, but could never get signed in. Glad you replied. By the way my husband was in Vietnam. He has built a guntruck (identical replica) to the truck he was on in Nam. Ace of Spades I wondered if you remembered it? Thought that might be of some interest to you. This is a REAL TRUCK not a model. They traveled to Branson, Missouri last summer for that big Vietnam get together. Thanks again.

You are welcome. I am sorry that you can't recover that production. :( Hopefully, you won't crash anymore, while the production is open. If you do save the production as two different names, each time, at least all of your work is not done.

Tell your husband, thanks for his time served. Tell him that I was down in the Mekong Delta. He will know where that is. :)

BTW, those are two of my grandkids, below. The one on the right turned 5 years old, today.
