safely remove hardware

    for some reason, my thumb drive does not show up anymore when i click on "safely remove hardware." the only thing that shows up is my C: drive, thats it. anyway to fix this?

    moved to correct forum. what does it show in device manager?

    1) no yellow exclamations in device manager
    2) same thing happens on all usb ports
    3) shows up and works perfectly in safe remove hardware in ALL other computers
    4) already tried reformatting
    5) same thing happens with my memory card slots, the memory cards used to show up in the safely remove hardware window, but not anymore.

    uninstall all the usb ports & hubs in device manager & restart windows so it can find new hardware & load it's drivers.

    i uninstalled the usb hubs and reinstalled them and still the same thing.
