    IMgburn best free burner

i assume you are converting a video file for dvd-compliant files?
first watch the source file and see if the audio is in sync,
if it is chances are the program you are using is making the audio out of sync,
it most likely isn't the burning program. one way to check is to watch the video output by the converting program you are using before burning to a disc.

also what speed are you burning at?
what brand of media are you using?
    firmware up to date?
