I have a Samsung Digimax S 1000 that the lenses that come in and out of the camera got stuck in the closed position,and I can not get them open. The batteries are well charged the camera turns on,the screen in the back stars,but after a couple of minutes,I hear a beep and it shuts down. I hear a faint grinding noise of the around the lenses trying to open but nothing. I think,and i almost certain that it is a mechanical problem. I would like to take the camera apart,and I would like to get hold of a "service" manual,but Samsung it is not very helpful. I get halfway in taking it apart,but I do not know how to pull out the round wheel on top of the camerra that set the camera operating mode. Any assistancce would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
First you shouldn't have tried taking it apart. Samsung has a four year warrenty on all of there cameras this is why i purchased my samsung pro 815 because of this but because you took yours apart you now just have a piece of junk. Nice way to destroy a camera.
