You will need a USB cable and the free software Bitpim. Get those first and post back.

Bluetooth may work but its usually unstable. A USB cable is $20, just get one of those.

No it's not. You have to use a software called BitPim that access the file system of the phone. I have done it myself.

I know they don't but the SCH-U620 works as "Other CDMA Phone" I have done it with my own SCH-U620. I'll give you a tutorial but get a USB cable first, you'll need it.

Are you sure its the U500? I did a Google search with that phone and nothing came up. Take out the battery and look on the back and you'll see the model number.

Sorry, can't help you there with that phone. Does Bitpim recognize it as Other CDMA Phone? Is it a CDMA Phone? I'll look up more info and let you know.

Did you try it with BitPim? It is not the USB cable. Another way to do it is to use online services or text the song to yourself and set it as ringtone.
