I have just purchased a samsung dv camcorder (not dvd or card dv tape) the model is vpd351. There is no software with this but i can connect via firewire when it has been connected it is found but all windows and nero want to do is capture video not take it off the tape. When i explore the camcorder it does not find any video only pictures, i think i know the answer im going to get but i thought id ask first
replying to my own post wierd I have ofund a prog by ulead called video studio 9 this claims to be able to take of dvtapes anyone know pls help thx in advance
You can use many programs to capture the video using Firewire. This includes Windows MovieMaker. There are alos a couple of nice freeware programs for that (see http://www.digitalvideoclub.com/downloads/freedownloads.php)
