   I am looking for a camcorder that is tightly sealed. I need a camcorder that can keep out sand. I figured a water proof or water tight camcorder would do the trick.

   You might look at the Panasonic SDR-SW20 which is a Flash Memory Camcorder. It's waterproof and advertised to be shock resistant.
