Hi, I recently upgraded memory cards from a 2GB Sandisk Micro to and 8GB sized one. However the card was nothing but trouble. With the provided USB adapter, it had poor connectivity with my PC. Sometimes it would detect as a portable drive and sometimes it would not be recognized. I tries it on 2 other machines as well and still it yielded the same results. But the big problem came when I was transferring files across to the memory card. Half way through it decided to become an unrecognized device. Leading to the memory card become corrupt. Now I can't even access the card through my PC as in My Computer the whole processor slows down and eventually freezes if the sd card is plugged in. I tried placing it into my digital camera so I could reformat the card but still it won't recognize the card. Is my card broken for good or is there anyway to save it? Whats annoying is I only got it 4 days ago and the 2GB cards worked with out a glitch. Why did the 8GB cards have to be so crap?
theres one way i know u can try. keep pluging it into your pc untill its recognised. then goto start, right click on My Computer, select Manage, then click on Disk Managment. u can format your card there. hope that helps.
Nah. It pops up in my computer sometimes. But when I click on the drive my computers processor slows to a halt. So your method won't work. Thanks for the advice tho. I decided to get it replaced. But the card had some roms on it. The retailers said they have to check the card to make sure it is faulty before replacing it. However if they find them on the card, could they report me? Or get me in trouble?
