   Help,I bought a hdp-m3000 and after putting it on charge,rather than getting 14hours play,I'm only getting around 4hours.where am I going wrong,or is the sanyo blurb a slight exaggeration

   Not necessarily. They are just guidelines. Your actions can vary that -- things like maxing out the volume, and keeping the backlight on all the time can dramatically increase power consumption and thus shorten the battery life.
