I been thinking abotu this for years...WTF bother with Multi sat recivers when all you need to do is convert the sat channles to cable TV channles and feed that to all your TVs that are cable ready.....all you need is 1 dish 1 reciver and 1 acount at the sat palce...is this soemthign so simple that they forgot to do it or are they trying to snow us over in signing up to get 500$ in equpiment when you dont need, hell HDTV is takeing over so all the sat recivers are already obsolet.....

hell every time I think about going sat TV the whole multi recever multi dish multi this crap keeps stoping me......from what I can find no one has made it not even china...

I think the main reason this device was not made was becuse to many coprerations in one cookie jar eaqule lawsuits till the world falls into the sun.... >>

thing is (from my experience only), no matter how you have it rigged, multiple tv's hooked up to one receiver will all be getting the same channel at the same time. there's really no way to break it down and make the signal like that of say, basic cable.

what we did with our digital cable (and what i believe one could do with satellites) is hook up a series of signal amplifiers on the main line into the house, and splice that line off around to a series of receivers. you can get functional recievers off the internet relatively inexpensively, then just hook those up. that way you only have one dish and are only being charged for one receiver, but can have as many as you want (we have six). or, you could always get some FTA receivers and program them properly to work with the incoming signal from your current satellite and get ALL the channels on them, not just the ones you pay for. but from there, you could just get an FTA satellite and have all your receivers be FTA and not pay any monthly fee at all...just keep your programming up to date.

not my point,I know it has not been made but its soemthign so simple it should have been made just soemthign that converts sat to cable even has a digital displey where you can edit the channles like you can with TV card programs.
but then OMG controll! we would revolt if we custmers got that kind of controll over soemthing *L*
    ><
mabye I just think to much but I I would perfer it go to all TVs than have 1 TV in pretty petty digital ><
