make sure the hdd your using has no problems with your motherboard, i remember the motherboard i had previously used the nForce chipset, which didn't work well with SATA hdds. Other than that, what size is the harddrive, and can you access it in windows or not?

nah the hard drive doesn't have problems because i was running it before i had to re-install windows i installed the nForce chipset
but nothing worked there,i can see drives F and G which is the now partitioned for some reason hard drive.
When I double Click on the drives it tells me the disk in drive F/G is not formatted and would I like to format,My dvd drive is H so I cant understand why this is suddenly not working after working fine before?
